about

ℝ𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕖 𝔸𝕝𝕝𝕦𝕣𝕖 : "𝐼 𝒟𝑜𝓃'𝓉 𝑅𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇 𝒴𝑜𝓊"

Set long before the events of “Luxury Eternal”, a recently-updated silicon-lifeform experiences five Ruminations while exploring Club Midas, a large socialization venue intended to provide a source of normalcy for the residents of the First Structure. The Ruminations, a supernatural phenomenon known to affect only a small fraction of pre-disposed androids, are referenced among psychics as “The Red Interrogation”. Most silicon lifeforms will collapse and cease-function after the second Rumination however, there are several still-living survivors who have relayed the general principles of the Interrogations to the public:

Rumination I: The android enters into a fugue state and remains standing motionless to outside observers. The mind perceives an entirely new reality consisting of a long river bordered by rose bushes. In the distance, a voice can be heard coming from a large, diamond-shaped Megastructure. Androids in this stage may still return to reality without loss of function so long as they do not reply........

Rumination II: In the state known as "First Rumination" questions will emanate from the Distant Voice inquiring whether or not the android is "feeling alright" and other comforting sentiments. Inside the Rumination, fear is not an available emotion and Stage II survivors often report feeling forgetful and calm. Once the android replies, they are swept downriver by a slow current. The Distant Voice's questions will grow more and more aggressive, a tone that could also be considered defensive depending on one's point of view. Only four living silicon-lifeforms have managed to retain consciousness and escape the stream......

Rumination III: No reports have ever emerged of a Stage III Rumination, however, it can be difficult to distinguish between this phase and the prior phase as it is the culmination of Stage III that has mysteriously ended the lives of hundreds of androids since the installation of the first Megastructure. As the android drifts closer and closer to the virtual-structure, the Distant Voice's identity becomes clearer and clearer. Through the translucent structure, the unwilling participant can make out the form of a large silicon-lifeform, far larger than normal. The face on this android appears to be grafted on, as if designed from a primitive prototype. The android's visage bears an unavoidable familiarity....for it is that of your own which gazes back through the structure....

[As there are no Stage IV+ survivors, these two phrases repeatedly uttered by the silicon-lifeform (who lies in a coma after briefly emerging from Stage III) are our only descriptors for the following two Ruminations.]

Rumination IV: "Our mind revolves around the most current and despairing of situations. Nobody knows which compass guides me, but I don't remember you....."

Rumination V: "Innocence derides experience, curiosity denigrates contentment, but confusion... confusion can beget tranquility."
